Feds Launch Massive Campaign To Convince Americans To Take The Swine Flu Vaccine

The U.S. federal government has launched a massive publicity campaign to try to convince the American people that the swine flu vaccine is safe and that they should take get it as soon as it becomes available. The feds plan to spend 16 million dollars to try to sell the idea that the swine flu vaccine that has been rushed into production presents no danger and that it is not going to cause mass deaths like the swine flu vaccine did in 1976.

Apparently early "focus groups" have shown that a lot of Americans, and in particular many parents, are extremely concerned about the safety of this rapidly developed vaccine.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Kris Sheedy, a communications director with the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, told reporters gathered at the CDC that health authorities realize that a lot of Americans are hesitant to take this vaccine:

"Many parents (in focus groups) expressed a lot of concerns about 2009 H1N1 vaccine. Those concerns were centered around the fact that it was new and it was being developed quickly."

In particular, Sheedy acknowledged that many parents did not want to subject their children to a vaccine that is still very untested:

"There were comments such as 'this is new and I don't want my child to be a guinea pig.' "

Although the swine flu has only killed a fraction of the people that have died from the regular flu this year, federal health officials continue to hype the "coming swine flu outbreak in the fall" as if it is going to be the greatest health challenge of our time.  In fact, on Monday officials estimated that the swine flu will infect between 60 and 120 million people in the United States this upcoming flu season. Do they know something that we do not?

Already the "health pundits" are out in force trying to intimidate the American people into taking the swine flu vaccine.  Dr. Nancy Snyderman, the top "medical expert" at NBC News, recently stated on national television that when Kathleen Sebelius speaks, we have to listen.  In fact, at the very end of the video below she forefully tells viewers to "get your damn vaccine".....

For the government to spend 16 million dollars to convince the American people to take an untested, experimental vaccine that we know will contain mercury, among other things, is negligent at best. Where will the U.S. government be when people get seriously disabled or even die from this supposedly "safe" experimental vaccine? What is the U.S. government prepared to do if there is a repeat of 1976 or worse?
