The alleged Dr. Taubenberger pulled that one from a hat. Heck, they did not even know what caused it until 30 years later. When I read any article about the world mortality rate varies from 20 between 60 million, they don't even know how many people died of it so how can they know what they died of. Were autopsies done on all who died. I would say if they died suddenly w/in 2-3days and it was hemorraghic then it was probably viral pneumonia. If it took longer then it could of been bacterial. However, the Drs. in Ukraine dispute Dr. Taubenberger stupid statement and statement say that the virus has a definate affinity for the lungs and no upper resp. signs are seen that is because Dr. Taubenberger and his group where allegedly the ones who went to alaske and dug up victims of the spanish flu(which started in this country at military bases and was spread world wide by our troop movements. It was also a W wave pattern and the second wave was the worst. As a veterinarian I found that pigs were also infected. But it was the people who gave it to the pigs, not the other way around. Thus, the swine flu is some form of the spanish(really the U.S. Flu) and that is why they are freaked(except they could have been the ones to let it loose)and the swine flu is really the people flu.
