The Discovery Channel is planning to air a viral pandemic survival reality show this summer. The reality show will be entitled "The Colony" and it will feature ten people who represent a "cross section" of American life who are survivors of a fictional viral pandemic and who must work together to rebuild society.  It is interesting that such a show would come out when we are on the edge of what could be the greatest flu pandemic that the world has ever seen.
