Bird Flu Pandemic

Has the H1N1 swine flu virus in Ukraine mutated to become more like the 1918 Spanish flu that killed 50 to 100 million people across the globe?  Just like the current H1N1 swine flu virus sweeping the globe, the 1918 Spanish flu was a virus strain of subtype H1N1.  Just like the current H1N1 swine flu virus, most of the victims of the Spanish flu were healthy young adults.  Now news has come out that the patients that are dying in Ukraine are experiencing the total destruction of their lungs - just like the 1918 Spanish flu. Last week, samples from patients who had died were sent by the WHO to facilities in the U.K. for analysis.  The delay of the release of these results is raising concerns that either the H1N1 swine flu has mutated or that the epidemic in Ukraine is being caused by something else entirely.  This comes at a time when the number of patients in Ukraine reporting flu-like symptoms has reached almost a million, and as reports come out that Russia, Belarus and Bulgaria are also on the verge of a major flu epidemic. The pandemic situation in Ukraine has rapidly gotten worse.  In fact, the number of people in Ukraine who have contracted serious respiratory illness has almost doubled in two days to nearly half a million.  The number of confirmed deaths is 81, although there are some sources that suggest that the number of deaths is actually much higher.  While some mainstream media outlets still refuse to consider the possibility that the outbreak in Ukraine is anything other than the H1N1 strain that is found in other areas of the world, the reality is that the hemorrhagic nature of the respiratory disease in Ukraine has many health experts speculating either that the H1N1 swine flu virus has mutated in that region or that what is happening in Ukraine is an outbreak of pneumonic plague. At this hour a team of experts from the World Health Organization is on the ground in Ukraine, but the search for solid answers about what in the world is going on there has not made much progress.  Some sources are insisting that it is just the same old H1N1 swine flu that is found in the rest of the world.  Others are speculating that the H1N1 swine flu there has mutated into a much deadlier form.  Other sources are absolutely convinced that the H1N1 swine flu simply could not produce the kind of deaths that are being seen right now in Ukraine.  (Read More).....

Tonight the nation of Ukraine is in an absolute state of panic as a mystery illness rips through that country.  Some reports are claiming that this mystery illness is a more virulent form of the H1N1 swine flu.  Other reports are linking the mystery illness with typhus, ebola hemorrhagic fever or even the pneumonic plague.  What all the media reports do agree on is that an epidemic is devastating Ukraine tonight and that a wave of panic is sweeping over that nation.
